Karen P. Matthews Promoted to Vice President – Business Development
Houston, TX (June 15, 2017) Interface Consulting International, Inc., a leading construction expert services firm, announces the promotion of Karen P. Matthews to vice president – business development.
“Karen’s promotion to vice president was earned by her successful management of the challenges in marketing consulting services and improvement in business development,” said Frank Adams, president of Interface. ”Her unique blend of leadership and people skills has led to the professional growth of all employees at Interface.”
Ms. Matthews began her career in management consulting for two of the Big 4 consulting firms. Her experience, coupled with her undergraduate and graduate degrees in English, landed her the quality assurance director position with Interface in 2004. In this position, Ms. Matthews’s efforts improved the quality of the firm’s work products and advertising and marketing initiatives, including the design, content, and optimization of the website.
In 2009, Ms. Matthews joined a global EPC firm in its Major Projects proposal group, where she was responsible for collaborating with global teams to vet engineering teams for mega EPC projects and ensuring the quality of large proposals.
Ms. Matthews returned to Interface in 2015 as business development manager. Her education and professional background were integral to her success in this position, and led to her promotion. As vice president – business development, Ms. Matthews oversees all aspects of the firm’s marketing activities, from lead generation through the company website, conference sponsorships, and marketing programs to creating marketing materials and developing proposals.
