Interface Consulting’s Refining Expertise
The refining industry fuels our economy by converting crude oil and other natural resources into valuable gases, gasoline, diesel, jet fuels, heating oils, asphalt, and other products. Petroleum refineries are typically large-scale industrial complexes with many different refining processing units, expansive piping, and auxiliary facilities that are uniquely configured to process a specific raw material into a desired slate of products.
Interface Consulting possesses expertise in all phases of project execution, from feasibility studies to front-end engineering design (FEED), detail engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, start-up, operation, and maintenance. In addition, we are aware of the unique challenges of grassroots, or “greenfield,” projects and revamps, also known as “brownfield” projects. Interface Consulting has also worked on numerous turnaround projects, which require extensive scheduling and planning to perform the work with minimal downtime to minimize lost revenue.
Interface Consulting’s engineers have worked on inside battery limit (ISBL) units such as crude and vacuum units, delayed cokers, visbreakers, gas plants, hydrotreaters, hydrocrackers, fluid catalytic crackers (FCCs), and other refining units. We also have experience with outside battery limit (OSBL) units such as tank farms, water treatment plants, boilers, and other utilities and support facilities. Our refinery work spans the globe and includes work in Saudi Arabia, the Caribbean, Venezuela, the US Gulf Coast and other US locations, and Canada.
