Interface Consulting hosted its annual reception Thursday, November 20, 2008, at Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse in downtown Houston. Many of the firm’s clients and business colleagues attended this networking event. Interface Consulting attended the American Bar Association (ABA) Forum on Construction’s conference Winds of Change? The Consensus DOCS on September 11-12 in Chicago. The firm also exhibited at the event, which serves construction attorneys across the nation, with its state-of-the-art booth.   The program focused on the new ConsensusDOCS family of construction contract documents introduced last fall. The conference panelists provided a detailed review of the new documents and pointed out comparisons to the corresponding AIA forms. Interface Consulting sponsored the July 24, 2008, International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) luncheon. Several of the firm’s consultants are members of the organization, including Steve Parker, who introduced keynote speaker Houston Mayor Bill White at the event. Mayor White shared his insight into the challenges of communicating to 2.4 million Houstonians in a way that is relevant to each of them. He discussed internal communications dealing with city government, his accomplishments while serving as mayor, and his current programs for the city and then concluded with a question and answer session.
