In honor of its clients, Interface Consulting celebrated the 2005 release of Beaujolais Nouveau at Brennan's on November 17, 2005. Beaujolais Nouveau is a wine exclusive to the Beaujolais region in France and is released only once a year on the third Thursday of November. The reception's indulgences included not only the Beaujolais Nouveau wine, but some of Brennan's specialty cuisine and international samplings of cheeses and other delicacies. Senior consultant Chris Hanvey and project consultant Peter van der Schans published articles in the November issue of the Tools of the Trade magazine which addressed the reconstruction effort and the material shortages resulting from the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Managing consultant, Christopher Sullivan, authored an article entitled "No Harm - No Foul: An Equitable View on Liquidated Damages for Delay," for the prestigious construction industry magazine, Construction Executive. His article appeared in the Legally Speaking section of the September 2005 issue. Interface Consulting's Senior Vice President Philip D. Barnard, PE, will be presenting at AACE International's 49th annual meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana. The event will take place at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel June 26-29, 2005. The Construction Law Section of the State Bar of Texas sponsored the 18th Annual Construction Law Conference March 2-4, 2005, at the Westin La Cantera in San Antonio, Texas. Interface Consulting hosted the opening night reception in conjunction with the Young Construction Lawyers Committee of San Antonio and exhibited at the conference that attracted numerous attendees and exhibitors from across the state.
