Consultant Pens Articles on High School Pre-Engineering Program 

High schools across the US have recognized a growing need to help shape and supply the nation’s future engineers. Steve Parker, a commercial consultant with Interface Consulting, authored several articles for Construction Executive and Build Houston Magazine exploring this need. The articles discuss Project Lead the Way (PLTW), a nationwide pre-engineering education program that has been implemented in 2,200 high schools since its inception in 1997. The articles also highlight PLTW’s success in producing more college engineering students and providing hands-on experience to its primarily minority participants.
